Rising energy bills
The sharp increases in the wholesale cost of gas and electricity are naturally going to have a significant impact on your energy bills, especially as we come into Winter, as well as directly affecting your service charge.
In late 2021, C&C entered into new contracts for gas and electricity suppliers, fixing our prices until Easter 2023. However, the cost we pay is impacted by the amount of energy used at each scheme. We continue to work hard to ensure that all communal spaces are as energy-efficient as possible, and have recently published an article providing energy saving tips for C&C residents – please visit the news page on our website for this.
Our income support team has already helped residents receive several thousand pounds in benefits. If you are struggling with your bills and believe we can support you, please call 0207 922 5300 or complete the simple form on our website.
Variable service charges
Please note that if you are a C&C resident on variable service charges, you should have received a Final Account at the end of September, illustrating your actual costs for the previous year (21/22). Any under/over-recovery that occurs as a result of this review will be posted against next year’s charges. No further action is required with respect to this.
Covid boosters
Everyone aged 75 and over, along with those who are most susceptible to serious illness, has now been invited to book their latest booster vaccine via the National Booking Service.
This kickstarts the rollout of the latest vaccine against Covid-19, ahead of a winter period where infections are likely to rise again.
If you haven’t already been contacted, you will be contacted directly by the NHS when it is your turn and can book your vaccination online. The system is likely to get very busy and securing your vaccination can help protect you and other residents against Covid-19 during the winter months so we urge you to book as soon as possible. The roll-out will be extended to all over-50s throughout the Autumn.
