A resident of C&C’s Oldfield Estate has played a starring role in a new documentary focussing on a British-Norwegian commando raid during the Second World War.

David Justice, whose father Len was a Commando, discussed the role of the Commandos in delaying expected Nazi invasions following the withdrawal of British troops via Dunkirk.

He supplied stories provided by his father related to the Operation, which saw Commandos damage a power plant used by the Nazis to supply power for aluminium production.

The full documentary, created by University of Winchester student Hege Hagen, can be viewed here.
