Repairs in your home


Over the last few months, we’ve seen a rise in people getting in touch with us about a repair or an issue in their home. This has led to a backlog of repairs as our teams work hard to continue to provide a good and reliable service to you.

Your repair service isn’t quite back to normal, but we’re working hard to get there.

In particular, we have had a rise in customers getting in touch around mould and condensation, following reports in the national media about this issue in social housing. We’d like to reassure you that we look into every individual report that is logged with us, and are getting in touch with everyone who has raised a concern to provide information and guidance. There is also information available on the Aster website.

We know how disappointing it can be when a repair or visit gets cancelled or rearranged at short notice. We’re working hard to reduce the waiting times you experience, but we expect to continue seeing delays to our service throughout the next few months.

During April and May we will making some changes to the internal system we use to arrange your repairs.

This won’t have any impact on how let us know about repairs, apart from a one week period at the end of April when we will only be logging emergency repairs to ensure a smooth transition between systems. We will send you a letter with more information closer to the time.
