About Fairhall Court

Fairhall Court provides 34 studio flats, eight one-bedroom and one-two-bedroom flats with a private entrance. One of the flats is fully adapted for disabled people.

Fairhall Court provides three types of tenancies, sheltered and General Needs. Nine flats are Agency managed, for supported living, tenants receive psychotherapeutic and practical support on-site from CHT (Community Housing and Therapy) staff.

The facilities we provide

Residents live independently in their own flats and can ask for support from the Service Officer if needed. There is also a lift and an emergency call system for all flats.

The scheme’s communal facilities include:

  • A large lounge
  • Communal kitchen
  • A free laundry service
  • Beautiful garden
  • Private car park – 10 spaces only

We employ cleaners and gardeners to service the shared areas, and residents can also call out centralised repair service. A cosy guestroom is available for a reasonable charge, accommodating up to two guests.

How we manage the scheme

Tracey Morgan is the Portfolio Manager for Fairhall Court, supported by Service Officer Alex. Alex is responsible for the day-to-day running of Fairhall Court and maintains links with outside agencies.

Portfolio Manager - Tracey

Tracey began her career with C&C at 17 years old, straight from College. Her first role was as a Care Assistant at one of our Care Homes. Tracey was then offered various secondment roles, eventually leading her to secure a role as Area Manager for Care.

After working in the Care Department for 27 years, she was offered and accepted the position of Senior Scheme Manager for Sheltered Housing. Two years ago, Tracey was offered her current role as Portfolio Manager overseeing Westminster Sheltered schemes and West London General properties.

How we support residents

Residents are provided with a tenancy pack, including their tenancy agreement and a resident’s handbook, outlining their rights and responsibilities. Our sheltered Service Officers work with each resident to draw up an individual support plan. The plan may offer support with daily living skills such as claiming benefits, making rent payments, sorting out rent arrears and reporting repairs. Residents who need more support can be referred to specialist agencies.

The friendly atmosphere at our sheltered schemes is vital to us, so we recruit people who are warm, open and sensitive to the needs of older people.

Activities at the scheme

As well as informal socialising, activities are organised such as coffee mornings, film club and aromatherapy. A number of regular and one-off arts, fitness and events are provided by our Engagement Team.

What's in the area

There is a Sainsbury’s Local within a short walk from Fairhall Court, and all the tenants greatly enjoy a beautiful Fishponds Park right outside that.

Surbiton High Street is only a 15-minute walk from the scheme, and it is well supplied with many different retail and dining options, along with a beautiful riverside. Surbiton station has regular short trains going into central London (Waterloo Station) and several buses that provide easy access to nearby areas. Kingston town centre offers an even more extensive selection of shops and cafés, and it is only a 15-minute bus ride from Fairhall Court.
