Changes to your rent from April 2024
You will soon receive your rent letter for 2024. We expect these will be received by all customers later this month (February).
We understand many people will be concerned about paying their bills, given the current cost-of-living pressures households are dealing with. We are committed to supporting our customers where we can and providing you with advice about maximising your income.
The rent you pay ensures we can continue to provide all our customers with a safe, secure home. It enables us to provide our maintenance services, invest in improvements to homes and communities, and have colleagues available to support you. We also build more affordable homes for people in communities with a housing shortage.
Just like other organisations, the effects of inflation on our costs continues to have an impact. Our commitment to providing you safe and reliable services is unchanged.
Some customers also pay service charges for a range of services we provide such as ground maintenance or lighting in communal areas. Each year we look at how much we expect it to cost to provide these services and adjust service charges accordingly. Which means that costs could go up as well as down.
If you pay a service charge, you may receive a separate letter in February which will show how much your service charges will be from April 2024. However, this will not be the case for all customers who pay a service charge.
